Landsat Bulk Metadata Service

You are here

The Landsat Bulk Metadata Service allows you to quickly retrieve scene-based metadata from the USGS Landsat inventories. Searches can be made for specific areas of interest by path/row or latitude/longitude, or by sensor, date range or cloud cover. You can also download all metadata files per sensor.

The Data Dictionaries listed below define all fields included in the metadata of each Landsat scene:

Visit the Landsat Collections web page for information on the Collection 1 datasets listed in the box below.

Landsat represents the world's longest continuously acquired collection of space-based moderate-resolution land remote sensing data. Four decades of imagery provides a unique resource for those who work in agriculture, geology, forestry, regional planning, education, mapping, and global change research. Landsat images are also invaluable for emergency response and disaster relief.
