October 24, 2006 - NASA releases new LDCM Operational Land Imager Instrument synopsis

A NASA procurement synopsis outlining the intended approach for acquiring the LDCM instrument, spacecraft bus, and Mission Operations Element was released on the NASA Acquisition Information System.

June 22, 2006 – The Revised Draft Imagery Requirements supplement for the thermal imaging option

The Revised Draft Imagery Requirements supplement for the thermal imaging option was made available for review and comment. The Imagery Requirements supplement is a subset of the Space Segment Requirements Document. It contains only the algorithm, spectral band, radiometry, and geometric instrument requirements.

June 20, 2006 – Draft versions of Space to Ground Segments Interface Requirements and Mission Operations Element Requirements

Draft versions of two LDCM requirements documents, the Space to Ground Segments Interface Requirements were made available.

June 6, 2006 - Input solicitation regarding GEVS application

The LDCM project is soliciting industry input regarding the application of the General Environmental Verification Specification (GEVS) to the LDCM mission development. The objective of this request for comment is to solicit industry ideas for tailoring the GEVS to reduce project costs and schedule without significantly impacting mission quality, safety, performance, or risk.

The Draft Imagery Requirements supplement for the thermal imaging option is now available for review and comment. April 28, 2006 – Request for Proposals: Landsat Science Team

The USGS, with NASA, is requesting non-monetary proposals from qualified Federal government and international scientists and engineers interested in serving as members of the LDCM Landsat Science Team. Proposals are due June 9, 2006. The entire document can be accessed here - .pdf (30.9 KB).

April 21, 2006 – Release of the Landsat Science Team Solicitation

The USGS, with NASA, is seeking proposals from qualified individuals associated with U.S. Non-Federal agencies, Academia, and Private Industry to serve in funded positions on the Landsat Science Team. Proposals are due June 2, 2006.

April 13, 2006 - *Addendum* Synopsis Detailing Procurement of Free-Flyer Mission (original entry February 22, 2006)

The U.S. Geological Survey, Center for EROS, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has a requirement for scientific and engineering research in support of the USGS Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM).
